DESCRIPTION:Three full days in the classroom and on the range learning to teach modern\, effective protective pistol skills.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nRangemaster Three-Day Firearms Instructor \nDevelopment & Certification Course \n  \n  \nThis is an intensive full three-day (24 hours total) course that teaches candidates: \nmodern adult learning theory; \npreparation\, delivery\, and documentation of training; \ndevelopment of training aids\, including power points and others; \ncoaching methodologies\, diagnosing and correcting shooters’ errors; \nmodern\, effective gunhandling techniques\, designed to work under stress; \nproper handling/operation of a variety of handgun types; and \neffective\, efficient combat marksmanship techniques. \n  \nThe course time is divided about equally between classroom sessions and range firing\, and each student will fire approximately 850 rounds of ammunition. Students will act as coaches for other students\, and each will be coached extensively in turn. Students also receive a 280 page training manual\, which is a valuable information and reference resource. Franklin will be taking the students through Gun Shot Wound & Trauma Management as well as it what it means to be an Active Bystander should you ever need to save your life or the life of a loved one. All Students receive a CAT Tourniquet as part of their tuition. \nDay Two is a full day on the range with Bert Winfield the owner and lead instructor for Home Defense Solutions. Bert will be taking the students through a full day of First Defender Handgun Defense and how it applies to street encounters. This class is taught from Concealed Carry. Topics will include efficient draw from a concealed holster\, shooting on the move\, multiple threat engagements\, and many more. DESCRIPTION:Co- Ed Basic Pistol \nThis 6.5-hour course teaches participants the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely\, and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a handgun. During this course\, the student will be exposed to easy-to-learn shooting skills\, responsible and safe gun ownership\, handling\, and storage methods. Students will complete live-fire training while on the range with a NRA Certified Instructor in a small group. \nThis course meets and exceeds the training requirements to obtain a Florida CCW permit. \nCourse topics include: \n• Introduction to Firearm Safety\, Parts\, and Operation \n• Fundamentals of Shooting \n• Introduction to Pistol Shooting \n• Safe Firearm Storage\, and Training Opportunities \n• Legal considerations for CCW holders \nWe will provide firearms to use if you do not have one and will provide input on firearm purchase considerations and applications for use.
