DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION:\nBecome an instructor and help promote firearm safety to\, law abiding\, American people. This can be a great investment to start a new business or simply a new hobby that generates supplemental income. We offer instructor-level courses in various disciplines. All instructor-level courses have a 4-person minimum per NRA policy. \nThe most common discipline. The widest excepted firearms training curriculum in the country\, which most states have approved in order for citizens to obtain pistol permits and licenses to carry. This is a 10-hour course and the candidate must have taken and passed the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course prior to attending this course (if you have not taken the basic course\, let us know and you can take ours for free after signing up for this instructor course). Instructor candidates have a required prerequisite to shoot a 6″ grouping at 45 feet\, with 16 out of 20 shots\, within an 8″ circle target. \nCall us to find out how and why becoming an instructor in Florida can benefit you in many ways or see the notes below.  \nNOTES:\nMany folks believe that since Florida became a constitutional carry state that there is no longer a need for instructors or firearms training. That’s far from the truth. Training is extremely important\, and with an all-time high in new firearm owners\, many are seeking training. Florida’s Concealed Firearms License is still very desirable because it allows license holders to carry in over 30 other states\, which they would be prohibited to do so otherwise. DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a stationary speed shoot in which you can use anything from a .22 caliper gun and up. \nIf you like to compete\, but feel uncomfortable running while doing so\, this just might be the ticket for you. \nCheck out our other postings for this sport – Sunday is the match but during the second and forth week of each month we host a practice shoot as well – a great way to try it out.  \nCome see what it is all about – this is low impact on the body and the wallet as well (22LR being the reasonable choice). \nShooting begins about 9AM and continues until about 1PM. \nSign up on practiscore.com – Click on Matches – Click on Florida – and scroll down and select the match (Tampa Bay Steel Challenge)  \nCome out and watch – come out and shoot – talk to the Directors about what it takes to participate in this really fun sport.

DESCRIPTION:FIRST DEFENDER SHOTGUN  \nShotguns have been in use for well over 500 years\, and the concept of launching multiple projectiles at a single time has been around for a great deal longer. Shotguns have a rich and storied history and have played a vital role in combat during every war and still do to this day. Many citizens have chosen to utilize a shotgun for home defense and other roles in their life. Come join us and find out why so many people have chosen a shotgun and just how truly versatile this firearm is.  \nThis class is specifically designed for those individuals who wish to utilize their shotgun’s effectiveness for Home Defense. To attend this class you must know the basic safe operation of your shotgun. Everything in this course is taught from the perspective of Home Defense and Self Defense.  \nClass is open enrollment to all students who are using a pump action shotgun or semi auto shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. Shotguns must be equipped with a buttstock\, no Mossberg Shockwaves or the like are permitted.
