DESCRIPTION:Civilian Weapon Systems: AR-15 Demystified & Threat Deterrence (Level 1 – Introduction) \nCWS: AR-15 Demystified & Threat Deterrence (Level 1 – Introduction) is perfect for beginners and those who want to become reintroduced with the AR-15 platform. This course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling\, proper maintenance\, and effective use of AR-15-style rifles and to bring awareness to the usefulness of this platform in the context of civilian home defense and defense of life. Classroom instruction covers topics such as basic AR-15 nomenclature and function\, cleaning and maintenance\, and accessorizing the AR-15. Live-range instruction will provide students with an understanding of how to safely and effectively operate their AR-15\, confirm zero\, and engage in practical and cumulative drills. \nAll Skill Levels Welcomed \nClassroom (2 Hours) – Instructor-led PowerPoint presentation highlighting the history and popularity of the AR-15; parts\, features\, and functions; overview of cleaning and maintenance; accessorizing the AR-15; and basics about using the AR-15 for home defense. \nRange (4 Hours) – Instructor-led range time including safety essentials\, confirmation of zero\, and use/operation of an AR-15; students will work on drills that incorporate dry-fire and live fire with kinesthetic alignment\, mechanical offset (and the application of hold over)\, along with the balance of speed and precision shooting – regardless of your skill level. \nTuition is: $200.00 \nRange Fees must be paid directly to Gun Craft upon arrival and check-in. \nWhat you need:\n• Rifle/Carbine/Pistol – with sling attached (NOTE: This class is specific to the AR15 platform. SUMMARY:Night Defender with Bert Winfield
DESCRIPTION:This class is for intermediate to advanced pistol shooters. In class we will discuss the various light options that are available to shooters and how to choose one that fits you. We will discuss the pros and cons of using a handheld light or using a Weapon Mounted Light. \n  \nOnce on the range we will begin with dryfire practice to work on the mechanics of deploying our chosen light while drawing our firearm\, shooting\, and moving in the dark\, reloading in the dark\, how to properly scan with our light and many more topics. \n  \nSAFETY NOTE: This class is not for beginners. We will be doing dynamic techniques in the dark. You must know your firearm and its operation as well as your gear. There are no warnings for safety violations in this class\, any violation of safety hazards and you will no longer be permitted to participate in any live fire. You may stay and observe the rest of the class from behind the shooting line if you would like. Safety to yourself and other students is always paramount. \n  \nTuition: $150.00 \n  \nRange fees of $30.00 must be paid by the students directly to Gun Craft the day of class. \n  \nRequired Equipment: \nFlashlight that you currently carry or plan to carry. Batteries or chargers for your flashlights. \nWeapon Mounted Lights are permitted as well. \nSturdy holster that retains its shape once the firearm is drawn and will accept your WML if you are using one. \nEye and Ear Protection \nBall cap \nQuality functional semi-automatic pistol or revolver. \nMicro or pocket pistols are permitted. \n200 rounds of ammunition minimum. More is better \n2 Magazines for Semi-Automatics. \nEnclosed shoes (No flip flops\, sandals or open toe shoes) \nCrew neck (T-shirt) or button up shirt (No low-cut neckline or tank tops) \nShorts are permitted \nRain gear and appropriate clothing for weather. \nHydration (water\, Gatorade\, etc.) \n  \nCANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Eventbrite fees are non-refundable. In the event Home Defense Solutions cancels a class a refund of the class tuition (NOT INCLUDING EVENTBRITE FEE’S) will be returned to student\, or the student will have the option to reschedule.
