DESCRIPTION:FIRST DEFENDER \nCome join us for this 2-day immersive class into what it is to be your own First Defender.\nDay One is a fully immersive class with Franklin Riddle the owner and lead instructor for On Point Safety and Defense. Franklin will be taking the students through Gun Shot Wound & Trauma Management as well as it what it means to be an Active Bystander should you ever need to save your life or the life of a loved one. All Students receive a CAT Tourniquet as part of their tuition. \nDay Two is a full day on the range with Bert Winfield the owner and lead instructor for Home Defense Solutions. Bert will be taking the students through a full day of First Defender Handgun Defense and how it applies to street encounters. This class is taught from Concealed Carry. Topics will include efficient draw from a concealed holster\, shooting on the move\, multiple threat engagements\, and many more. This deposit is non-refundable\, but is transferable to other class offerings if the student needs to cancel. \nDESCRIPTION:\nThis class is designed for those with firearms experience who are looking to apply for their Florida Concealed Weapon License. This class is designed to cover all requirements in Florida Statue 790.06 to allow you to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon License. There will be approximately 2 hours of class time and up to 1 hour of range time. \nIN THIS CLASS WE’LL COVER: \n\nBasic firearms safety\nMechanics of semi-automatic handguns and revolvers\nHow to safely load and unload firearms\nClearing common malfunctions and stoppages\nShooting fundamentals\n\nWe provide the firearm and ammunition for this class. You do not need to bring a firearm or ammunition. \nALL STUDENTS WILL NEED: eye and ear protection and sunscreen or hat for sun protection on range. Eye and ear protection are available for purchase at the range if needed. \nWe have bottled water and soda available for purchase at the range.
