DESCRIPTION:Co- Ed Basic Pistol \nThis 6.5-hour course teaches participants the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely\, and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a handgun. During this course\, the student will be exposed to easy-to-learn shooting skills\, responsible and safe gun ownership\, handling\, and storage methods. Students will complete live-fire training while on the range with a NRA Certified Instructor in a small group. \nThis course meets and exceeds the training requirements to obtain a Florida CCW permit. \nCourse topics include: \n• Introduction to Firearm Safety\, Parts\, and Operation \n• Fundamentals of Shooting \n• Introduction to Pistol Shooting \n• Safe Firearm Storage\, and Training Opportunities \n• Legal considerations for CCW holders \nWe will provide firearms to use if you do not have one and will provide input on firearm purchase considerations and applications for use. Students that do own a handgun should plan to bring it\, along with at least 50 rounds of the appropriate ammunition. \nCourse Fee includes firearm rental\, if necessary. \nEach student will be responsible for their own Range Fee of $30 to Gun Craft\, which will be required upon arrival. \nOnce students are registered\, they will receive additional details pertaining to the course in an email from Eventbrite\, within 7-10 days of the class date. \nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/369840612227

This class is designed to cover all requirements in Florida Statue 790.06 to allow you to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon License. There will be approximately 2 hours of class time and up to 1 hour of range time. \nIN THIS CLASS WE’LL COVER: \n\nBasic firearms safety\nMechanics of semi-automatic handguns and revolvers\nHow to safely load and unload firearms\nClearing common malfunctions and stoppages\nShooting fundamentals\n\nWe provide the firearm and ammunition for this class. You do not need to bring a firearm or ammunition. \nALL STUDENTS WILL NEED: eye and ear protection and sunscreen or hat for sun protection on range. Eye and ear protection are available for purchase at the range if needed. \nWe have bottled water and soda available for purchase at the range.
