Much more than a shooting clinic\, this course teaches the common sense solutions to make your home a less likely target. You will also learn the hard skills necessary to effectively defend your home and family if the worst does happen. Shooting skills are practiced in context with actual scenario-based training. A few of the topics covered are: \n\nSafety\nThreat Prevention and Response\nIntroduction to a Defensive Shooting\nBasic Defensive Pistol Shooting Skills\nHome Defense Pistol Selection\nSafe Firearms Storage and Access\nLive Fire Scenarios\n\nThis is a handgun only course\, no long gun tactics are taught. You will need a pistol or revolver (full size handgun preferred) in good working order. Proof of prior handgun safety training is required to register. You will be expected to be capable of manipulating your handgun\, to include: Loading\, unloading\, clearing malfunctions\, and practicing impeccable safety and gun handling skills.
