Event Description
Defcon Gun Club proudly presents the Summer Shootout, a one-day tactical fitness competition that combines physical endurance with live-fire marksmanship. This event is designed to challenge participants through a series of physically demanding tasks followed by precision shooting, reflecting real-world tactical performance under stress.
The competition will consist of four unique stages. Competitors will be tested on their ability to perform under pressure, combining physical exertion with shooting accuracy and speed.
Each participant’s final score is determined by their stage completion times and performance.
Match Schedule
07:30 AM – Registration Opens
08:00 AM – Mandatory Safety Briefing
08:15 AM – Match Begins
03:30 PM – Match Concludes
03:45 PM – Awards and Raffle
All competitors must attend the safety briefing to participate. The match will begin promptly at 8:15 AM.
Ammunition Requirements
Competitors are required to bring the following minimum round counts:
150 rounds – Pistol
100 rounds – Rifle
Please ensure all equipment is in safe working condition. We will be shooting steel at this event, so no Steel core ammo or armor piercing.
T-Shirts and Registration Deadline
Those who wish to receive an official Summer Shootout event T-shirt must complete registration by May 24, 2025. Registrations after this date will not include a T-shirt.
Prizes and Raffle
The Summer Shootout will feature a prize table valued at over $4,000, with awards for top finishers in the competition. All registered participants will also be entered into a raffle with opportunities to win additional gear, accessories, and sponsor-donated items.
We will also have a charity raffle for a large prize ($600+) with all proceeds going to Team RWB.
Food and Vendor Area
A variety of food trucks will be available on-site throughout the event, offering meals and beverages for competitors and spectators. In addition, there will be a vendor and sponsor booth area, where attendees can explore products, services, and gear related to firearms, fitness, and tactical training.
Participant Requirements
This competition is intended for individuals who are physically capable and possess basic firearms handling skills. Each stage will include moderate to high-intensity physical activity followed immediately by live-fire shooting tasks. Participants are expected to follow all match rules and safety protocols at all times.
