Become a certified NRA Range Safety Officer and gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely supervise shooting activities on the range. This course is ideal for church safety teams, private ranges, firearms instructors, and responsible gun owners who want to serve their communities with excellence.
Course Overview
This 9 hour NRA course provides comprehensive instruction in:
• Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Range inspection and safety protocols
• Firearm stoppages and malfunctions
• Emergency procedures and incident response
• Range commands and shooter management
• Practical exercises and scenario based application
Course Format
This course is delivered over two training days to support better retention and accommodate student schedules. Students must attend both days to receive certification.
Certification Requirements
• Full attendance for all course hours
• Successful completion of the written exam
• Demonstration of safe gun handling and range procedures
• Participation in all practical exercises
