Gun Craft offers many opportunities for competition shooting.
We host several monthly shooting matches as well as a weekly practice match.

NRA CCW with CT Pistol Class

This course is ONLY for folks who have a valid NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Instructor Credential (NO EXCEPTIONS).

This is at least a 10-hour course and the candidate must have taken and passed the NRA Basic CCW, and must hold the Basic of Pistol Shooting Instructor credential prior to attending this course. The Basic CCW course is also accepted by most states in order to be approved for a permit/license. Students are highly encouraged to use their own firearms and are required to bring 300-400 rounds of ammunition for the range-portion of the course.

(SATURDAY) Day 1 consists of the classroom and practical exercises (9am-5:30pm). ABSOLUTELY NO LIVE AMMUNITION is to be entered into the classroom, ZERO EXCEPTIONS.

(SUNDAY) Day 2 will consist of the range portion, where instructor candidates will have a turn to run a live range conducting multiple defensive pistol drills, from concealment. The candidates will also have multiple drills prior to the qualification that will take place at the end of the range session (9am-2pm).

There is ZERO tolerance for gross safety violations. This includes breaking 90+ degrees in any direction with the firearm (the firearm must be holstered and/or pointed down-range and in a safe direction at ALL times), sweeping anyone else or oneself with the muzzle, and showing up under the influence of alcohol or drugs (this INCLUDES MARIJUANA). Anyone who has a safety violation will be excused from the course without a refund of the deposit. This is non-negotiable, SAFETY FIRST, ALWAYS.
