Level 2 Fundamentals of Defensive Shooting, Skills Development & Efficiency

LEVEL 2-FUNDAMENTALS DEFENSIVE SHOOTING, SKILL DEVELOPMENT & EFFICIENCY

Mission: To develop disciplined, faith centered protectors who safeguard their communities with skill, integrity, and a Christ honoring mindset.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Duration: 4 hours (4 hrs range)
Purpose: Transition shooters from foundational marksmanship to high performance defensive application under stress.
Outcome: Students demonstrate dynamic movement, efficient manipulations, rapid threat identification, and improved performance under time pressure.
Level 2 – Fundamental Shooter
Purpose: Build consistency, efficiency, and confidence with the firearm.
Description: This level refines fundamentals and introduces time awareness. Students begin drawing from a holster (if appropriate), reloading, and clearing basic malfunctions. Accuracy standards tighten while distances increase.
Core Competencies:
• Reinforced safety under mild time pressure
• Drawing from concealment or duty holster
• Emergency and tactical reloads
• Basic malfunction clearance
• Accuracy at 5–10 yards
• Introduction to shot timer use
Advancement Criteria: Student safely draws and fires on command, clears simple malfunctions, and meets accuracy standards within reasonable time limits.
