DESCRIPTION:
This class is designed for those with firearms experience who are looking to apply for their Florida Concealed Weapon License. This class is designed to cover all requirements in Florida Statue 790.06 to allow you to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon License. There will be approximately 2 hours of class time and up to 1 hour of range time.
IN THIS CLASS WE’LL COVER:
- Basic firearms safety
- Mechanics of semi-automatic handguns and revolvers
- How to safely load and unload firearms
- Clearing common malfunctions and stoppages
- Shooting fundamentals
- How to clean a firearm
We provide the firearm and ammunition for this class. You do not need to bring a firearm or ammunition.
ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED: eye and ear protection and sunscreen or hat for sun protection on range. Eye and ear protection are available for purchase at the range if needed.
We have bottled water, soda, and snacks available for purchase at the range. You are welcome to bring your own to the class.
Please wear range appropriate attire. This includes closed-toed shoes, t-shirt (no low-cut or short-cut shirts), shorts or long pants.
