This class combines basic pistol safety, and use with the training you need to apply for your concealed weapons permit in Florida. This is a one day, two part class. The morning will be a three or four hour lecture portion, where we will discuss the legal aspects of carrying a handgun, options for concealment, pistol function, handgun safety, and much more. The second half is on the range where you will apply what you learned in the classroom, and work on handgun proficiency.
This IS NOT a two hour “punch the ticket” type of class, to get your permit. You will be required to show proficiency with a handgun and demonstrate safety skills.
Students attending this class will need:
- eye protection (eye glasses or sunglasses are acceptable)
- hearing protection
- a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition. Ammunition may available to purchase from the instructor, and a firearm may be available to borrow for the class, if you don’t have one.
Students will be responsible for bringing any food or drinks. Check the weather ahead of time and dress accordingly.
