Gun Craft offers many opportunities for competition shooting.
We host several monthly shooting matches as well as a weekly practice match.

FIRST DEFENDER SHOTGUN

Shotguns have been in use for well over 500 years, and the concept of launching multiple projectiles at a single time has been around for a great deal longer. Shotguns have a rich and storied history and have played a vital role in combat during every war and still do to this day. Many citizens have chosen to utilize a shotgun for home defense and other roles in their life. Come join us and find out why so many people have chosen a shotgun and just how truly versatile this firearm is.

This class is specifically designed for those individuals who wish to utilize their shotgun’s effectiveness for Home Defense. To attend this class you must know the basic safe operation of your shotgun. Everything in this course is taught from the perspective of Home Defense and Self Defense.

Class is open enrollment to all students who are using a pump action shotgun or semi auto shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. Shotguns must be equipped with a buttstock, no Mossberg Shockwaves or the like are permitted. No breech loading shotguns are permitted either.

Tuition is: $200.00 per student

Class length is 6 – 8 hours

1. Ammunition selection

2. Patterning of your shotgun

3. Pros and Cons of pump action and semi automatic

4. Staging your gun for home defense

5. Accuracy at varying distances

6. Dealing with Multiple Attackers

7. Effective Reloading Techniques

8. And Many More

Required Equipment:

1. 12 or 20 Gauge shotgun

2. 200 Rounds of Birdshot ammunition

3. 15 Rounds of Buckshot ammunition

4. Side Saddle, Dump Pouch or Oversized pocket to hold spare ammunition

5. 2 Point Sling if you have it. It’s nice to have but not required for this class

6. Shooting gloves

7. Appropriate Range Attire and Safety Equipment
