Gun Craft offers many opportunities for competition shooting.
We host several monthly shooting matches as well as a weekly practice match.

Our Monthly matches include our local USPSA matches held on the first and third Sundays of every month (more info and registration HERE)

Advance Defensive Pistol with JP Orlando – CT Pistol Class

Advance Defensive Pistol

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Intermediate/Advanced
REQUIRED MATERIALS: pistol, sturdy holster (no trigger finger activated retention systems allowed, NO exceptions), 300 rounds of ammunition (no rim-fired cartridges), at least 3 magazines, magazines carriers to hold at least 2 magazines, and personal protective gear.
COURSE PREREQUISITES: Must have a valid permit/license to carry, AND have an NRA CCW certificate, or have completed the Concealed Defensive Pistol course.
CURRICULUM: Intended for the skilled pistol shooter who wants to fine-tune his/her defensive pistol skills. We will cover:
-draw speed
-shooting, then moving
-shooting while moving
-shooting from cover
-entering doorways/entryways
-one-handed shooting
-non-dominant hand shooting
-reloads (emergency and mag swaps, “tactical reloads”)
-distance shooting
